In August 2020, Cellen hosted a 1 hour webinar with The Digital Healthcare Show on the future of Chronic Conditions and Pain Management. The webinar was hosted by Cellen's Dr Mala Mawkin, and was attended by over 200+ leaders in the chronic pain sector, ranging from NHS healthcare professionals to digital health leaders.
The expert panel explored how the pandemic has hugely altered the treatment of patients with chronic conditions, and specifically delayed the pain treatments of an estimated 150,000 people. The panel discussed how best we can look after the increased number of ‘left behind’ patients requiring pain management, and how we can build clinician understanding and education on the available solutions. Towards the end of the discussion, the panel spoke about ways to support patients to access Medical Cannabis prescriptions.
